Looking Ahead August 15, 2009 6:13 PM by Matt | 2 CommentsWell, it's time for another update. As the summer comes to an end, you'll be pleased to know that we have big plans for the coming weeks.
Our desktop synchronization software is nearing its beta testing stage. We have been mentioning this and hyping it up for over six months now, and we can assure you that it won't disappoint. We will begin by only launching a free version of the software. In essence, it will allow you to synchronize your computer(s) with your Gigmax account, bridging the gap between your desktop and the website. It will run in the background and will allow you to save files into a Gigmax folder on your computer, which is automatically synced with your Gigmax account, so you can then retrieve the files within this folder from anywhere. The software ensures that the Gigmax folder on your computers always contains the same files and folders that are in your web-based account. To kick off this launch, we will be running numerous contests with great prizes, so be sure to check in often for more information regarding these! Soon after we release the free version of the software, we will release a paid version, which will include extra storage space and many never-before seen features. We don't want to give any of these unique features away yet, but expect this version to be released within the next few months.
