What is Gigmax.com?
Gigmax.com^SM allows you to store files, such as text documents, images, music, and videos, in your own online space, accessible anywhere. You may choose to make individual files public so others may see it or private so only you can see it. Other features are available for use with an account, like My Gigmarks (a virtual bookmark list) and My Gigpad (a place to quickly write down notes).

Why would I want my own gigmax?
Most people use a Gigmax account for the sole reason that stored files are backed-up and easily accessible, from anywhere.

How much does it cost to create my own gigmax?
We offer a free plan, as well as paid plans, which give you additional storage space. Sign up here and get your own Gigmax!

How much storage space do I get?
The free accounts come with 2 GB (2048 MB) of storage space. We also currently offer three paid plans of 25 GB, 50 GB, and 150 GB.

What types of files can I store in my gigmax?
You can store any type of file you want as long as you are the rightful owner of the file (i.e. no copyrighted music). For more information regarding this, refer to our of Terms of Service.

Why is it taking so long for my files to upload?
If you are uploading larger files (files that are a few MB in size), it will take longer to upload. Nothing can be done to prevent/shorten the long uploading time. Please note that the files will upload successfully at a reasonable rate.

What is the difference between making a file public and making a file private?
If you choose to make a file public, anyone can see it and download it. If you make a file private, only you can view it. Please note that all files are private by default. We also offer "protected" files, where you can choose who else on Gigmax is able to view and download a file. For more information about this, see our Groups Application.

Why isn't my file showing up on my community page?
In order for a file to appear on your community page, it must be public. By default, all files are private. To make a file public, see here.

What happens when I fill up my allotted storage space in my Gigmax?
When your maximum storage space is reached, you will no longer be able to upload any new files. You may either delete existing files or choose to upgrade your account. For information on how to upgrade your account, login and go here.

How do I change my contact/personal information?
To change your contact information, click the "My Account" link at the top right of the page, once you are logged in. Then click the "Edit Personal Information" link. Alternatively, if you are currently logged in, just see here.

How do I change my password?
